Rome guide

Ancient ruins, Renaissance art and Baroque piazzas, with great food at every turn: Rome is an open-air museum that is also a lively city.

Rome is best explored on foot, discovering fountains and churches between the big sights. Plan your days around the Colosseum, the Vatican and the historic centre, and leave time for long lunches.
